In many parts of Noida and surrounding industrial areas, groundwater contains very high <a href=\"https:\/\/roservicepoint.com\/services\/total-suspended-solids-tss\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"1270\">Total Dissolved Solids<\/a> (TDS), hardness, iron, and salts, which makes the water unsuitable for direct use in boilers, cooling towers, laboratory processes, and analytical instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To solve this problem, a <strong>3000 LPH Multi-Stage Water Treatment Plant (WTP)<\/strong> was designed and installed at a research and life sciences facility located in <strong>Sector-19, Noida, Uttar Pradesh<\/strong>. The main challenge of this project was treating borewell groundwater having a very high TDS of <strong>5500 mg\/L<\/strong> and converting it into three different grades of treated water, including <strong>soft water, RO water, and ultra-pure zero-TDS water<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This article explains the complete system design, raw water condition, treatment stages, engineering challenges, plant layout, and performance results of the installed water treatment plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Project Overview \u2013 3000 LPH WTP Installation in Noida<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The installed system was designed to produce multiple qualities of water from a single borewell source using a multi-stage treatment process. This causes several problems such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Scaling in pipelines and boilers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damage to RO membranes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poor laboratory results<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Corrosion in equipment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduced life of machines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Because of this, a normal filtration system cannot treat such water. A <strong>multi-stage water treatment plant<\/strong> is required to gradually remove impurities and achieve the required water quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Water Quality Requirement for the Facility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The facility required three different grades of water for different uses.
